A stillness creeps over the land. The solitary thud is that of the wind as it whispers to the trees, to the creatures, to anybody it might touch. The grand flame retreats back to save its strength to come and clash once more. Only the battle has been won for now, not the war. For the war shall carry on as long as the two collide against each other, awaiting the day that one dies… destined to fight eternally.
Barely a few months ago, Kagome Higuraishi was pulled into the feudal era to come across InuYasha, the dog half-demon that was pinned to a tree by Kikyou’s arrow. Kagome released InuYasha but also shattered the Shikon no Tama. InuYasha and Kagome have met Sango, Shippou, Kirara, and Miroku to assist them on their quest to destroy Naraku. Though now Naraku is concealed away.
With only the western lands underneath rule of Lord Sesshoumaru, there has barely been a slender sense of tranquility established. The north, east, and south continue to await their lord or lady to arrive and conquer. Chaos has multiplied with the lands beneath no rule. Demons run about uncontrolled. Humans merely search for protection from the frightful raids.
A small number of shards of the Shikon no Tama remain to be found. Those who are fortunate enough to obtain a shard or two struggle to keep them. Though the fight still remains against Midoriko and the demons she formerly fought to save the people. Some desire to use the jewel for the greater good while others apply it to double their power and unleash their wrath.
Yet, in the wake of it all a new wickedness rises from the dark. Not one of the spider, the dragon, the sword, or the moth. In its presence life withers away, its power drained down to the core. Only the strong are able to survive it. Only the valiant can battle against it. Only individuals that are truthfully misplaced can take it down. So says the great ruler of the lands.
The prophecy reads of two brothers that will have to unite with each other to save the land. Even though they are drawn by blood, one factor sets them apart and it’s the other side of the bloodline. One a full demon and the other simply a half demon. With a curse set upon them, working together has never been an preference. Now, it seems death of one is the only break.
