The fox and the hound? Oh no, there was no such thing here. Now it was the fox and the raven. Oh what an odd pair they must have looked like whenever they traveled together through the countryside of Japan. Well, maybe they weren't as odd as some of the groups that he had heard of before. There was some dog demon and an imp that followed him. Then a fox and a cat as well. So nothing to worry about indeed. All would be fine here. Besides he was sure they could find for themselves out here now.
Yet, these bloodlines and races weren't what worried him now. No, what worried him was the sudden increase in attack on demons. Well it wasn't like he'd ever really cared for half demons or humans but that didn't mean they had to come after him. He'd done noting wrong but slayed a few people here and there over the years. That was just what you had to do to stay alive in the odd world that he called home. It was a matter of life and death everyday. He knew there were those stronger too.
A small black and teal figure made his way to the riverside. One paw was lifted and set upon the sandy bank. Yes, this was the perfect spot for them to stop! The fox then transformed into a humanoid figure. His blue violet gaze looked on through teal bangs at all of the sand before him. He flashed the world a fanged grin and then bent over and scooped up the small grains into his hands. With zero hesitation he threw the gains back up into the air and cheered as they spread out across the sky above him then.
It was only through a demonic magic that he was able to keep the grains levitating in the air. This was something that he loved to do whenever he got the chance for it. There was no turning back. He'd catch her if she was in the air and make her face one of her greatest fears. Oh how cruel he was indeed but it would become a matter of magic and skill. Almost like a game of cat and mouse unless the mouse in the case decided to turn around and attack back. That as never very fun.
"Kyethra," he called back in the cheerful tone. It was here that he would watch out for her. You never knew when the raven youkai would come from the ground or come from the air. It was just some weird thing that she did all the time to confuse him. At least, that was what he had convinced himself. It wasn't really his fault that he couldn't fly the way she did. Instead he'd been born the shapeshifter of the demon kind with that kitsune blood following through his veins so naturally it almost burned his body.
