OOC: Puppeteer:
Mizuki
IC: Puppet:
Kaguya
Passed Down:
Tennyo
Cursed:
Female
Rotations:
Over 1000 (Appears to be in her 20's)
Form:
Shape-Shifting Demon (Poses as a Celestial Being)
Class:
Princess of the Moon :: Ruler of the Night
Destruction:
Sayomi Sword: Made from the golden brooch on Kaguya's hair, the Sayomi sword defines what it means, "Night Born". She equally has four brooches meaning she can brandish four of her Sayomi swords. In addition, Kaguya chants a very powerful spell that allows the sword to turn a blood red color, enhancing its power.
Mirror of Life: Kaguya uses the her mirror for chanting spells. One powerful spell that she uses the "Power of the Mirror of Stillness" which is a spell that can make time stop. Another way that she can use her mirror is to absorb any attack directed towards her and then revert it back to her opponents. Also with the Mirror of Life, Kaguya is able to see the true dark desires of any mortal or demon and control anyone whom she grants their wishes. Beyond the mirror is the realm of the Pentacle Mirrors where her Dream Castle resides.
Powers/Abilities/Talents:
Shapeshifting: She can take the form of anything she chooses (usually a human), and change her voice along with her physical appearance. She can also change her body however she wants. Hence, giving herself eternal beauty.
Superhuman Strength and Speed: Much like Naraku, Kaguya is far stronger than a normal demon and can move faster than the eye can see, both in the air and on the ground.
Flight: Unlike Sesshomaru who has to ride on his own shoki in order to float in mid air, Kaguya has the ability to fly by the strength of her own will.
Absorption: Similar to Naraku, Kaguya is able to absorb other demon's powers by devouring them. This is primarily how she gains strength, by seeking out and absorbing strong demons, giving her access to their powers.
Psionics: Kaguya has been shown using various psychic powers and capabilities; including levitation, telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, mind control, illusion-casting, and astral projection.
Barrier: A powerful barrier created by the Mirror of Life which prevents the foe from finding and/or attacking her.
Black Magic: Kaguya knows many different spells, a prime example being her using the Mirror of Life to be able to grant the true desires of any mortal or demon.
Regeneration: Kaguya can quickly heal her own wounds and also put back together severed pieces of her body. However, because she has a life force, there is a limit to how much she can regenerate. The more damage she takes, the more time she will need later on to recover. Too much damage can kill her. Usually, she will absorb demons to speed up her regeneration process.
Attitude Check:
Heartless and ruthless, Kaguya is a woman who's used to getting everything she wants and will stop at nothing to get it. In addition she has a calm, even tempered demeanor, but is unwavering and merciless. Kaguya is also a cold and powerful demon, holding within her the power to grant any wish. This power that she possesses has lead Kaguya to believe all mortals are worthless in comparison to her and other powerful demons, where she express her contempt for them quite openly as she questions is it the fate of humans to live out in fear.
She thinks highly of herself and is cruel to others, though she can rarely be protective of her minions. She cares little for others, and thinks that humans, while at times amusing, are merely mortal and ultimately expendable. Her demeanor towards other people depends on what terms they stand before her with. Also her elegance and beauty have enchanted many who come across her, as others label her beauty to be simultaneously dangerous.
She may seem entirely evil, but in reality she is just a selfish and cruel woman who wants to do things her way and her way only. Kaguya is aware of how powerful of a demon she is and she demands respect for it. She loves the beauty of the moon which is why she wants the shroud the world into an eternal night. Kaguya doesn't like ugliness shown when she didn't want to be touched by Naraku's grotesque form. Although she maintains a cool, uncaring, and heartless, exterior, Kaguya deep down, truly pities humans. Her personality fits that of a high and powerful Yokai Princess. Yes, Kaguya is an interesting demon indeed.
Mirror:
Return to the Past:
There is a tale about a Celestial Maiden known as Kaguya who's robe has been stolen by a man. When the Cestial Being saw the man, they were soon married. This tale is different. The Celestial Maiden was bathing in a creek near a village and she left her Celestial Robe hanging on a branch and a man then stole her robe. When she discovered that her robe was stolen, Kaguya grew mad with fury and killed the man then started killing innocent villagers one after another. By a stroke of luck, Miroku's grandfather, a monk named Miyatsu came upon the village was summoned to kill the being but he was unable to due to her beauty and his own lecherous ways and instead sealed her in the Mirror of Life. The Mirror was then placed on an altar in the Forest of Illusion in the Shrine of the Mirror of Life.
50 years later, Kanna and Kagura where summoned by the believed to be dead Naraku to find five sacred objects to release Kaguya from the mirror. These five objects where the Cloth of the Fire Rat, a Crystal from the Dragon's Neck, the Stone Bowl of Buddha, the Swallow's Cowrie Shell, and the Jeweled Sprig. In exchange for freeing her, Kaguya promised to give Kagura her true heart's desire, freedom. Little did Kaguya know that Kagura's and Kanna's intention all along was to get Kaguya out so Naraku would absorb her powers. Kaguya thought Naraku was dead from the beginning but he faked his death.
The last item to be retrieve was the Robe of the Fire Rat in which Inuyasha had in his possession. Kagura and Kanna engages in battle against Inuyasha in which Kagura was able to easily rip the sleeve off of InuYasha's kimono. Just when Kanna and Kagura were about to make their leave, the moon appears and a poem is said. Kaguya makes her appearance and uses her ability to discern the dark desires of InuYasha's heart against him. Inuyasha attacks to get his own Backlash Wave thrown back at him by Kanna's Mirror. Kagome manages to keep Kaguya from inglicting more damage on Inuyasha and the demon's make their leave. Princess Kaguya got what she needed.
Once Kaguya was freed from the Mirror of Life, she set out on her own to retrieve the Celestial Robe from Akitoki Hojo that was entrusted to the Hojo family after it was stolen. The Celestial Robe was also given specific intrusions. If Kaguya were to be free once again, the robe would have to be disposed of. Now free, Kaguya's motive was to cast the world into eternal night, at which the first sign of the her appearance was for the first time in 50 years there was a full moon shining for many nights.
Princess Kaguya encounters Inuyasha and Kagome again and succeeds in getting back the Celestial Robe increasing her powers exponentially. After pinning Inuyasha to a tree and Kagome fires an arrow trying to kill Kaguya. The princess didn't see Kagome as a threat reverts the arrow with her mirror towards Inuyasha where Kagome jumps in front of Inuyasha as Akitoki throws the Celestial Robe to save Kagome. In the end, she was still shot by her own arrow in order to save Inuyasha. Kaguya then takes the unconscious Kagome to her Dream Castle telling Inuyasha to follow his desires. Meanwhile at her castle, Kaguya attempts to devour Kagome to obtain her sacred powers until she was interrupted by Inuyasha and his gang, Kaguya tries to convince to become one of her suitors. Of course he refused. After a short fight against Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kohaku, the princess cast a spell which makes Inuyasha transform into a full fledged demon, trapping his human half in her Mirror of Life. Now under her control, Kaguya orders Inuyasha to kill Kagome but she interferes again and manages to break Kaguya's spell returning the half demon back to normal.
The romantic moment between Inuyasha and Kagome didn't last for long when Naraku started to appear from Kohaku's back. It was just as he intended. Naraku faked his death to draw out Kaguya. This was his chance to devour the princess and obtain her powers. However, Naraku during this point was still a half demon and thus wasn't able to battle her on equal terms. Naraku was defeated by Kaguya and he escapes with Kohaku, Kagura, and Kanna. While he was making his escape, Kaguya forced out Inuyasha and his gang out of her Dream Castle through her mirror to prevent anymore damage. She vowed to complete her goal and have revenge on Naraku and Inuyasha.
Now in this time of war, the Princess of Night learns that the lands were being concurred with the the western lands being ruled underneath the brother of Inuyasha, Lord Sesshoumaru. With the Mirror of Life and the Celestial Robe in her possession, Kaguya sets out to rule the land under an a eternal night.
Other:
While she is not a real Celestial Being, Kaguya claims that she is. In reality, she devoured the real Celestial Maiden Kaguya and obtain her power of beauty and immortality along with her appearance. Her beauty is that of a Celestial Maiden.
RP Sample:
She was the beauty of perfection. Her silken cream skin, her dark glass eyes, that glimmered so brightly in the light of the full moon. She was the princess of the heavens, the woman of any man's dreams. She stood clad in a amaranth kimono, that slithered around her form like a phoenix. Her silken raven locks, straight, and partly up with a hint of a dark cyan shine in her raven mane. Her lips pursed with life, the color of a freshly picked rose. She stood over the edge of a cliff, her eyes downcasted, and somewhat staring into the sea before her. In her delicate hands, she held a golden mirror, that reflected from the moonlight as well.
She stood straight, tall, and full of elegance, and the only thing missing was the robe of the Celestial Maiden. It would have made her seem even more beautiful. Though beauty was only skin deep. With slithered beneath her form, was a demon, a heartless demon who wanted to turn the world into a frozen utopia, where absolute night ruled, and time did not pass. She longed for eternal darkness, and the beauty of it amused her very much, but that would wait, she would deal with those who opposed her. This will be a sweet revenge. She could almost taste it through her cherry lips.
"I will, make this world, a vortex of everlasting darkness." she said to herself. The maiden looked into her mirror and looked at her reflection. As she stood outside her castle, a demon came before her, interested in what she had to offer. The Princess's rose lips curled into a smile and faced the demon.
"I am known as the Princess of the Heavens. I am the ruler of perpetual night, I am Kaguya. I can can grant you your deepest wishes, your strongest desires, anything, but in return you must become my servant, and serve me for eternity. The things you desire will become reality, but only when you surrender to darkness can you truly find freedom, if you believe that your freedom is to its fullest." She stated elegantly with a graceful flip of her hair. The demon bowed down before her in acceptance and disappeared. Of course, what demon would turn down such an offer?
She couldn't accept that the foolish hanyou, and that human girl were able to defeat her, but she will come back, and seek them out, that girl's body shall be hers. Kaguya will blanket the world in eternal darkness, with the powers of her Mirror of Stillness. The demoness will not make that mistake a second a time. This time she shall be victorious.
